"My works are both love notes to the subjects and study notes on the behavior and effect of light, water, wind and gravity."

Tracie Broughton is an acrylics and oil painter from Portland Oregon, who's art career has transitioned over the years from graphic design and illustration to teaching and studio art. While her subject choices cover a wide variety of topics, the consistent thread throughout her work is the kinesthetic quality her paintings impart. Whether the subject is a mushroom on a cool forest floor or the underwater view of a person doing a cannonball plunge, instead of answering the question, "How does that look?" Tracie's paintings strive to answer, "How might that feel?"
